Although she grew up to be near-sighted

While I was broken down in Brisbane
When my Corolla wouldn’t turnover

Gone are the days of ambiguity
Laws were never broken; though sometimes bent
A ceiling fan that hardly seemed to work
Hung above our heads like a cloud of debt

And going to bed before 10pm

Up all night, too high
