Everyone’s asleep — it’s the suburbs
Got to sober up, run a shower
Sick being drunk or hungover
With empty pockets — save for lint

With 6-figure incomes and mortgage loans

Begin at the bottom and work your way up
Climb up the ladder from the lowest rung
Watch out for the snakes, if they swallow you whole
Then you can watch your career go down the toilet bowl
But there’s only one direction shit rolls

It takes forever to rise but no time to fall
